Video Game Club
Social OpportunitiesNeurodivergent teens are invited to come out and share their favorite video games! Whether you're a fan of the original NES, classic Sega consoles, or more modern hits on the Wii or Switch, all eras of gaming are celebrated. Feel free to bring your favorite, age-appropriate games to share with the group (no M-rated games, please) or try a new game shared by someone else. This group is intended for teens but is open to all gamers aged 10 and up.
Finding Community at Penn State
Social OpportunitiesNeurodivergent Penn State students are invited to this casual on-campus social group presented by ACRES and Penn State's Student Disability Resources! The group is run BY neurodiverse Penn Staters, FOR neurodiverse Penn Staters! Even if you don't have a formal diagnosis, all who identify as Neurodivergent are invited to come and meet fellow students, learn about helpful campus resources, and hang out with others who "get it."
This group meets every other week from 6-8PM in Room 103 Boucke while PSU is in session. Meeting dates are listed on our Events Calendar.
Evening Social Group
Social OpportunitiesSocialization can be difficult for those on the autism spectrum, so ACRES is proud to be a safe place where adults with autism can make friends, have a chat, and just have fun! A group of neurodivergent young adults meet at ACRES every other Monday from 6-8 PM for a casual social time. Contact us if you are interested!
Learn MoreSocials and Parties
Social OpportunitiesTraditional parties and holidays can be overwhelming for individuals with autism, but that doesn't mean they don't want to participate. Throughout the year, ACRES hosts special parties and events with neurodivergent community members in mind. From sensory-friendly backyard barbecues to not-so-scary Halloween celebrations, these events provide individuals of all ages and abilities with the opportunity to have fun!
