I first met her at an Acres meeting and then we reconnected via this FB group. After she babysat.... last spring, we hired Jordan to be an Aspie Mentor to our son this summer. She's working with him twice a week to help him build his independence skills and (a surprise to her!!) work with him on the Scratch coding program. Today he ordered and paid for his ice cream at the Creamery, played Pokémon at the arboretum, and she helped him with coding a character to dance! ...... got in the car when I picked them up and said, "I feel really satisfied about what I accomplished." As you all know, this is what it is all about! I'm really grateful to Acres and this group for bringing Jordan into our lives!
