Not only does your secure, tax-deductible gift directly benefit our innovative programs for adults with autism, it also qualifies us for additional cash prizes and a larger portion of Centre Foundation's expanded $300,000 stretch pool, giving you more bang for your buck! The more you give, the more the Centre Foundation donates to ACRES!

Best of all, every penny of your donation funds our critical programs to help adults with autism achieve their goals and become strong contributors to our community. And for 2020, Centre Foundation has lowered the minimum donation amount to just $10 – a small amount which makes a BIG difference!

Community is Never Canceled.

The sunflower is a symbol of resiliency. It pushes its stems through the soil wherever the seeds may fall, always growing towards the light, even in the harshest conditions.

A lot has changed over the past few months. Our building is closed and in-person activities are on hold until further notice. But like the sunflower, the ACRES Project -- and our community -- is resilient. Thanks to your support, we are able to remain steadfast in our commitment to supporting adults with autism through these challenging times and beyond.

Several of our programs and groups are now meeting virtually, including day program, our women’s book club, and our self-advocacy program for high school students. We’ve been compiling a growing list of online resources for families and caregivers to help loved ones with autism understand and get through this pandemic. And our staff are working through new online certification programs to ensure that we can provide the very best support when we are able to gather in person again.

It’s also a comfort to know that despite trying times, caring and community are never canceled. So, starting during Centre Gives, we will be planting one sunflower for every $10 donation to ACRES to honor the resiliency of our community. It’s our special way of saying “thank you” for your help and support!

Your sunflower(s) will be planted in a highly visible spot in our front yard for all to enjoy as they drive by or visit. Just as your kindness impacts our community in many ways, the sunflowers will bring joy and light to those who see them while helping to sustain local pollinators and nourish the soil.
