Women's Book Club (Temporarily Suspended)

Because females often experience autism differently than males do, women and girls with autism are a frequently overlooked demographic. As they read and discuss books about the female autism experience, participants in ACRES' Women's Book Club connect with each other, share advice, and learn more about themselves. Our diverse group includes women of all ages and walks of life.

This group is currently suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but typically occurs every other Monday evening at 6 PM. We hope to gradually resume this and other programs once Centre County maintains a "moderate" or lower level of community spread for at least two weeks as determined by the PA Department of Health.

If you are interested in joining, please contact us at We'd love to have you join us!

Our most recent book is Women and Girls with Autism Spectrum Disorder: Understanding Life Experiences from Early Childhood to Old Age.
